CHILDHOOD LEUKEMIA
Leukemia, which is a cancer of the blood forming tissues of the
bone marrow, is the major medical cause of death in children.
When the Laura Rosenberg Foundation was founded in 1981, only 50%
of children with Leukemia were expected to be alive and free of
the disease five years from diagnosis.
In the 90's and beyond, the percentage of children affected by
the disease and expected to survive free of leukemia more than five
years from diagnosis has risen considerably to 85%.
It is our sincere belief that with your continued support we will
soon win the war against this heart-wrenching childhood disease.
